Instilling respect, kindness and compassion for animals as community values
About Us
Founded in 2018, Paws, Hearts and Hands of Candler County is a 501(c)(3) organization. We are a group of dedicated volunteers focused on improving the quality of life of companion animals in our community.
We have provided hundreds of spay/neuter vouchers to local citizens in need of financial assistance to fix their pets. We assist the Metter Animal Shelter with the costs of spay/neuter, unmet veterinary needs (including heartworm testing and prevention for shelter dogs) and transportation to rescue partners when loving homes cannot be found locally.
Our Mission
Our mission is to enhance the quality of animal life in Candler County through programs and activities that educate the public about responsible pet ownership, increase awareness of companion animal overpopulation issues, and support high quality shelter, medical, adoption, and spay/neuter services for companion animals within the community.
